Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
YourLanguage Coach is operated by ARCHEON DATA, S.L. (hereafter "we", "us" or "YourLanguage Coach"), a company registered in Spain. Our service is available at yourlanguage.coach.

2. What data we collect
We collect only what is necessary to deliver the service:
- Account data — your name and email address, provided by your language school when they enrol you.
- Session data — audio and text from your AI conversation sessions, used to generate feedback and track progress. Audio is processed in real time and not stored permanently.
- Usage data — session timestamps, lesson completions and progress metrics.
- Device data — standard request metadata (IP address, device type, browser or app version) collected automatically for security and diagnostics.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
3. How we use your data
- To provide and improve the AI coaching sessions.
- To generate personalised progress reports visible to you and your teacher.
- To send login links and service-related notifications (no marketing without consent).
- To detect and prevent abuse and ensure platform security.
4. Legal basis (GDPR)
We process your data on the basis of contractual necessity (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) — to deliver the language coaching service you or your school has subscribed to — and legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)) for security and service improvement.
5. Data processors and sub-processors
We use the following third-party processors to deliver the service:

All processors are bound by data processing agreements and, where applicable, Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers.
6. Retention
Session transcripts and audio are retained for 12 months after a session, then deleted. Account data is retained for the duration of your school's subscription plus 90 days, after which it is anonymised or deleted on request.
7. Your rights
Under GDPR you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Request deletion ("right to be forgotten").
- Restrict or object to processing.
- Data portability.
- Lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Authority (AEPD) at aepd.es.

8. Cookies
The web app uses a single session cookie to maintain your login state. No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set. The native mobile app does not use cookies.
9. Children
YourLanguage Coach is not directed at children under 16. If a school enrols students under 16, the school is responsible for obtaining appropriate parental consent under applicable law.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. The date at the top of this page indicates the current version.
